01 The challenge
Fragmented Systems Holding Back a Growing Mission
NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) had membership management, corporate sponsorships, scholarships, and donations running on separate fragmented systems. Each system had its own login, its own data silo, and its own administrative overhead.
This fragmentation created operational friction at every level. Staff toggled between platforms to manage routine tasks. Members faced a disjointed experience when interacting with different NABA programs. Membership engagement and retention were constrained by the limitations of the tooling rather than the strength of the mission.
NABA needed a technology partner who could consolidate these systems into a single, scalable platform without disrupting ongoing operations.
02 What we did
One Platform, Serverless Architecture
Rex Black Inc. designed and built a custom platform on serverless architecture, unifying membership management, corporate sponsorships, scholarships, and donations into a single application with streamlined user flows. The platform replaced four separate systems with one cohesive experience for members and administrators alike.
What we delivered
- Custom platform unifying membership management, corporate sponsorships, scholarships, and donations
- Serverless architecture design and implementation for cost-efficient scalability
- Streamlined user flows replacing fragmented multi-system workflows
- Unified member portal providing a single point of access for all NABA services
- Data consolidation from four legacy systems into one source of truth
- Administrative tooling for NABA staff to manage all programs from a single dashboard
03 The outcome
Measurable outcomes from a nonprofit platform consolidation.
NABA transitioned from four disconnected systems to a unified platform that streamlines every aspect of their member-facing operations. Staff manage memberships, sponsorships, scholarships, and donations from a single dashboard, eliminating the operational friction that constrained their previous setup.
The serverless architecture ensures the platform scales with NABA's growing membership base without proportional increases in infrastructure cost or maintenance burden, providing a foundation built to support the organization's expanding mission for years to come.
